It’s been an exciting and busy summer with youth groups from all over Brooklyn and beyond coming to check out our urban farm, native plant garden, and compost project!
We’ve hosted visitors from:
- * Brooklyn Generation High School
- * Growing Leaders Garden Program at The Expeditionary Learning School for Community Leaders
- * Flatbush Reformed Church children’s day camp
- * and 40 Michigan teenagers on a missionary visit to NYC
On these visits we’ve provided educational workshops on sustainability, as well as opportunities to get hands-on with the urban environment.
Thanks to the group from Michigan we were able to make great progress with our gardens and compost, with the help of many extra hands. We’re happy to work with such amazing young people!
