On June 21, 2014 Flatbush Gardener will give a tour of his own native plant garden!
Since 2005, Sustainable Flatbush Advisory Board member Chris Kreussling (aka Flatbush Gardener) has transformed a dusty, weedy backyard into a garden oasis of over 100 species and cultivars of native trees, shrubs, ferns, grasses and wildflowers. He’s documented the process on his gardening blog, Flatbush Gardener. In honor of National Pollinator Week, Chris is opening his garden to the public for a behind-the-scenes tour!
Chris is also a bee expert, and will help us identify some of his garden’s winged visitors as well as reviewing tips for creating an insect-friendly sustainable garden in urban settings.
