BUSH MEDICINE: Stories and Plant Allies of the Caribbean

BUSH MEDICINE: Stories and Plant Allies of the Caribbean

Sustainable Flatbush and Sacred Vibes Apothecary host our final FREE community workshop for the 2015 season on the use of herbs for health and wellness.

Join Sacred Vibes Apothecary Herbal Apprentices, and proud Caribbeans Myrna and Shamilia, for this lively exploration of a rich legacy. We’ll share healing stories and create plant medicine in the flowering traditions of the Caribbean amidst music, refreshments and delicacies of the region.

Location:  This workshop will be held in Myrna’s home on East 18th St near Church Ave in Brooklyn. We will be limiting attendance to 15 people, so please RSVP to the email below to hold your spot! We will reply to your RSVP with the location of the workshop.

Date/Time:  Saturday November 21st 2015, 2-4pm

To RSVP, or for more information, please email: kate.florence@gmail.com

[UPDATE: The workshop is now full.]

This workshop is FREE, but we always welcome donations to help cover the costs of supplies and refreshments.

Materials: In many of our workshops we spend time making different herbal preparations such as teas, tinctures, oils, and syrups. If you would like to bring some home with you, please bring a clean 2 oz. baby food jar. If you have more than 1 jar, bring some to share!

Accessibility: It is important to us that our workshops are as accessible as possible. Please contact Kate at kate.florence@gmail.com if you have any accessibility concerns or needs.
